Hey there foodies and tech enthusiasts!
I'm excited to somewhat belatedly share my recent experience participating in Jodi Hrbek's Demo Org Demo Jam, which she showcased on LinkedIn. It was a great experience where I got to present my custom-built application, aptly named "Cookbook." I've been focused on improving my flow skills while doing something that I could use on a regular basis in my personal life.
The Birth of the Cookbook
The Cookbook App was created and being continually developed to help organize recipes that I create, and keep track of new and family favorites. It's design includes custom objects for Recipes, Pantry Items, and a junction object, Recipe Ingredients.
The Recipe Wizard
One of the highlights of the Cookbook is the 'Recipe Wizard.' I developed this flow to offer a guided path for inputting new recipes into the org. It's like having a culinary guide, leading you through the recipe creation process step-by-step.
A Peek Into My Presentation
For those who missed it, here's an excerpt from the livestream of my presentation. I was honored to be able to present it, and found the feedback helpful in determining future changes to the App.
Download and Explore Excited to try it out? The current version of Cookbook is available in a managed package. You can download the managed package here and play around with it, exploring its features and maybe even discovering your next favorite recipe. For your convenience, a .csv file with Pantry Ingredients is here.
Release notes
What's Cooking in the Future? This is just the beginning! I'm already working on future iterations of Cookbook, which I will be publishing right here. Stay tuned for more updates and enhancements.
Thanks for joining me on this journey. Can't wait to see what culinary masterpieces you'll create with Cookbook!
Happy Cooking!
