I recently completed the Clicked Salesforce Admin / Business Analyst Team Sprint, and I am excited to share my experience with you. The sprint was a great opportunity to learn new skills, work with a team, and develop a portfolio-ready project. Clicked is sponsored by Salesforce Talent Alliance and the hosts, Jeff Sample and Rachel Shumway, have been fantastic. We also had amazing mentors for this sprint, Mallory Donohue, who you see as the coach in the video, Brian Owens, and Tony Nguyen. I am so grateful for the experience and the feedback from the coaches. I would highly recommend the Clicked Salesforce Admin and Analyst sprint to anyone who is looking to learn more about Salesforce or to develop a portfolio-ready project.
The sprint was a 3 week intensive program that covered the business analyst process using Agile Methodologies and utilizing our Admin skills to build out a proof of concept in a Dev Org. We went through the project life cycle starting with Personas and User Stories, creating a process map using UPN for current and future states, building out wireframes, completing risk analysis and conducting User Acceptance Testing (UAT) on our dev org build.
We also utilized the following tools for our project:
Jira for project management
Elements for UPN mapping
Google Workspace for collaboration and presentation decks
Salesforce Dev Org
I am very proud of the work that we did on the project. We were able to create a custom solution that met the specific needs of the client. The client was very happy with the results.
In the video, I discuss the project that we worked on and the results that we were able to achieve. I also talk about the lessons that we learned and our key takeaways. My demo gremlin came about because we had used up our sample data for the platinum sponsor data set and I had changed another record for the demo, when I should have just created a new one. For future demonstrations, I'll be sure to have plenty of sample records to work from.
